Where can I find my 'My Clippings.txt' file
The 'My Clippings.txt' file is located in the 'Documents' folder. You will need to connect your Kindle to your computer via the USB port and browse to the 'Documents' folder in your file browser.
Which Kindle versions do you support?
We support all the Kindle versions which create a 'My Clippings.txt' file. These are the family of Kindle EInk readers which are:
- Kindle Paperwhite
- Kindle Touch
- Kindle Fourth Generation
- Kindle Third Generation
- Kindle DX Graphite
- Kindle DX
- Kindle Second Generation
- Kindle First Generation
The Kindle versions which are not supported are:
- Kindle Fire
- Kindle Fire HD
In addition the various Kindle reader apps such as those available on the IPad, IPhone and Android do not create a 'My Clippings.txt' file so these are not supported.

If I import my 'My Clippings.txt' file more than once will I get duplicate records?
No. Our import process is intelligent and will ignore any records that you have already imported. At the end of the upload you will be presented with how many new annotations have been imported and how many were ignored. You can also view a summary of how many new annotations were imported on the history tab of the Dashboard page
Which formats can I export my Kindle annotations to?
We currently support exporting your Kindle annotations to Word, Excel, PDF and Evernote. To export your records click the 'Export' menu on the Explorer page
Which languages do you support?

Can I do an advanced search on my records?
Yes in the using the search bar in explorer you can perform advanced searches. You can search specifically on the following fields:
- BookTitle
- Author
- Content
- Type

Search for the word "Yesterday" in the BookTitle field.

Search for the phrase "Monty Python" in the BookTitle field.

Are my Kindle annotations backed up by Amazon?
Yes, Amazon automatically backs up any annotations you have made including the last read location on any books you have purchased via Amazon. If you have disabled annotations backup you can re-enable this by going to the settings page on your Kindle
Can I view my Kindle annotations on the Amazon site?
Yes, you can view your annotations on the Amazon site here. The site will display annotations for any books you purchased from Amazon, it will not display annotations you have made on your personal documents. You need to ensure that annotations backup is switched on, it's enabled by default.
How can I delete my records?
Your records can be deleted at four different levels, described below. To remove your records from the 'Deleted items' section on the Explorer page click the 'Empty Trash' button. When you remove your deleted records by clicking the 'Empty Trash' button we store a hash code for each deleted record. We use this to avoid reimporting records you have previously deleted in future file uploads. If you wish to erase the memory of the records you have deleted you can do this via the Your Settings page.
AccountIf you wish to delete everything in your account and start afresh you can do this via the Your Settings page. When you delete your records here the records do not go into the 'Deleted items' section and it is the equivalent of starting with a fresh account.
File uploadIf you wish to delete everything in a file upload you can do this via the Dashboard page. When you delete your records here the records do not go into the 'Deleted items' section. If you delete all of your file uploads it is the equivalent of starting with a fresh account.
BookIf you wish to delete everything in a book you can do this via the Dashboard page. When you delete a book your records do go into the ' 'Deleted items' section. In addition the book goes into the 'ignored' tab which means records belonging to this book will not be imported in future file uploads. If you wish to resume importing records for a book you need to remove it from 'ignored' tab.
RecordIf you wish to delete a single record you can do this via the Explorer page. When you delete a record it goes into the 'Deleted items' section.
How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account on the Your Settings page. You can also reset your account if you wish to keep your account but start afresh.
